AI Now Helps Decompile Games, and I Long for a Proper Sims 3

I used to love Sims 3.
The problem is, the more I upgraded my PC, the worse Sims 3 became.
Now I can no longer play Sims 3.
You can’t play Sims 3 over 60 FPS or it causes lag.
You can’t play Sims 3 in 4K or it causes lag.
You can’t play Sims 3 with a mouse that has a polling rate over 250 or it causes lag. Yes, you can even have the wrong mouse settings for Sims 3.
And even with all that fixed, it's still not guaranteed. As is the case for me.
Trust me, I’ve followed all the advice. Nothing has helped make Sims 3 run smooth on my end. I know I'm not the only one, and it’s an embarrassment. It’s an embarrassment that Electronic Arts can’t open the hood and fix this (since 2009!)
Sims 3 was made by talented human beings, without a doubt… but they didn’t have the foresight for modern hardware. That’s fine.
What isn't fine is that fact that nobody is fixing it. God forbid, too much investment with little return for the poor little billion dollar corporation.
But that's where AI can come in... and one has to ask: is that such a bad thing?
I've been watching people using AI to make all these interesting fusions between franchises. Modern Warfare 2 with Skate 3. Minecraft with Elden Ring. It's wacky and all, but I can't help but wonder: what does this mean for games that have been forgotten?
Of course, there's the militant contrarians that have no other counter-arguments besides "AI bad", but one must ask a burning question: what was the industry going to do with these games/franchises anyway?...
...besides some shitty RTX remaster that would defecate on the original artists’ intent, which… well… is that the same or worse than what’s happening now?
Is it bad that a piece of interactive art created by talented people can no longer be enjoyed because of modern hardware woes?
I would hope you'd agree. Fixing performance and compatibility so the original design can run as intended on current hardware is closer to preservation and interoperability than to a glossy RTX remaster that changes art direction or lighting intent.
So why is it bad when we tell AI to fix it, and let us play the way it was meant to be played?
Who else was going to do it?
How much longer were we going to have to wait for this special someone?
