Right now, Valve really has a chance to do something great.
In case you haven’t heard, Grand Theft Auto 6 has once again been delayed. All the way to November 2026.
What on Earth is this game going to amount to?
Will it be worth it?
How long will it last in comparison to how long it took?
How long will it take, and what will it take, to outdo themselves in the installation after that?
Will it be the final Grand Theft Auto?
That, we shall find out in time. On the other hand, in case you also haven’t heard: Valve has apparently been working on something relating to Half-Life. And no… it’s not a goddamn VR thing this time around (hopefully). We’re talking full-fledged. So full-fledged, it might, might just be the Half-Life 3 we’ve all been waiting for.
There’s not much time, people. The alarm is sounded. It’s been sounded. It’s been sounding for quite a while, and you’re only just hearing it now. No worries though, you’re neither too early nor too late. Either way, one thing is for sure: it’s time to launch that nuke before it’s too late.
Either Half-Life 3 will be worth the wait or worth nothing (to the SNAP). We saw what happened when we trumpeted Payday 2’s continuation. Making a good sequel is apparently difficult nowadays, in the current state of the gaming industry.
Valve has shown it is wavering. TF2 and CS2 has become a joke. Half-Life: Alyx was… well… Half-Life: Alyx. Deadlock is… well… Deadlock. As of right now, it’s make or break. Either Valve – like most in the gaming industry – has lost their way, or they’ve still that final breath to give us all we’ve been hoping for since 2007.
Or… we never see the Half-Life installation at all.
But one thing is certain: right now, Valve really has a chance to do something great.
